Galax Parks and Recreation Department is a member of the Southwestern District of the Virginia Recreation and Park Society. The Department has 6 full-time employees along with a staff that includes afterschool program leaders, summer playground leaders, recreation aides, lifeguards, and summer youth employees.
We invite you and your family to take part in all of our programs and activities and enjoy our new facilities. Our staff is always open to suggestions on new programs, classes and activities. Your comments are always welcome as we strive to offer you a comprehensive variety of recreational programs and activities.
